Hail and strong thunderstorms struck the nearby area on March 24, 2012...but the campground was unscathed! The day had been beautiful--  so we decided to run into Bedford to pick up a few things. In Lowe's, we heard an employee talking about a tornado warning. Using our smart phones, we found there was indeed a tornado warning for the area near the campground. Then we had a dilemma- did we head right back or wait until the warning was over? We waited a bit, then decided to head back.
